Building the LEGO Notre-Dame de Paris Set:
Building the LEGO Notre-Dame de Paris is going to take you quite a long time. With over 4,000 pieces you should expect a build time of 10–14 hours depending on experience. We found that sharing the Lego build with someone else was perfect, as the set is mainly symmetrical. This means that one person can build one side, while the other builds the other side. The set is built in three distinct historical phases, starting from the 1163 foundation through to its 2019 pre-fire state. This layered approach lets builders experience the cathedral's evolution over 800+ years.
The instructions are clear and beautifully illustrated, including architectural facts that add educational value to the build.
Design Details: Accuracy Meets Elegance
LEGO has done a great job in capturing the Gothic design of the Notre-Dame. These features include:
The West Façade: Intricately sculpted twin towers and the famous rose window.
Flying Buttresses: A structural and aesthetic triumph that adds authenticity.
Color Palette: Muted beige and grey bricks, and translucent pieces perfectly reflect the limestone of the original structure.
From the detailed apse to the central spire, the model is both architecturally faithful and a visual delight.
