Indulge in this Banana Chocolate Chip Bread recipe – a perfect blend of ripe bananas, chocolate chips and Walnets for a delightful treat
Indulge in this delicious Banana Chocolate Chip Bread recipe which we grew up with as children. It can be made with either Chocolate Chips or with Walnut pieces or both.
Banana Bread Ingredients:
- ½ cup of Butter
- 1 cup of Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Ripe Bananas
- 1⅓ cups of Flour
- 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon of Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoon of Salt
- 1 cup of Chocolate Chips or 1 cup Chopped Walnuts
Banana Bread Instructions:
- Soften the butter in a microwave and add into a large bowl.
- Add the sugar and mix well until until a creamy
- Crack eggs one at a time into the mixture and beat them together to mix. Use an egg beater or an electric mixer.
- Mash 3 bananas in a smaller bowl
- Pour the bananas into the bowl and mix well to an even consistency.
- Preheat oven to 180 Degrees Celsius or 350 Degrees Fahrenheit
- In another bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix well.
- Pour this in batches over the banana mixer and mix in with a rubber spoon until it is an even consistency. Be sure not to overmix it.
- Mix in the chocolate chips or walnuts so they are well distributed throughout the mixture.
- Grease a small rectangular bread sized pan and pour batter into it. Make sure the pan has enough height in it to allow your Banana Chocolate Chip Bread to rise.
- You can also add walnut pieces to the top
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until skewer comes out clean.
Make you sure let the Banana Chocolate Chip Bread cool down slightly before removing it from the pan and putting on a rack to cool. It will firm up as it cools down and only slice it when it has cooled down.
