The main factor that makes the Twinkly String lights different from most other Christmas tree lights currently being sold, is the way that each of the LED bulbs on the string of lights is individually mapped by the Twinkly App. So Twinkly hardware and software knows exactly where each LED bulb is positioned on the tree. This allows you to use the app on your iOS or Android device to create some awesome lighting effects for your tree. These effects would normally be impossible to do with traditional Non Smart Christmas Tree lights.

Unboxing and Setup of the Twinkly String Lights:
Twinkly String lights are beautifully packaged in a black cardboard storage box, with a colourful outer sleeve. The version we purchased had the 400 RGB LED bulbs, which were the perfect number for our 6+ foot Christmas Tree. The lights are well packed, and included a set of LED lights divided into two parts. Wired to these are the controller box and the power transformer which plugs into the wall.
Setting up Twinkly lights was surprisingly simple. With the help of the Twinkly app which you can download for both iOS and Android devices, users can effortlessly connect and control their lights, customizing them to suit their unique preferences.
The controller can also be used to toggle between different saved lighting effects or to turn it on and off. We however recommend controlling it in the app, and also setting up an on/off schedule so you don't have to remember to turn them off each night.
